Date published: 12 March 2024

Williams, the Northwest-based prestige automotive retailer with a base on Gorrels Way in Rochdale, has won the National Marketing Award for the second consecutive year at the BMW Retailer of the Year awards. This remarkable achievement for the group solidifies their position as a leader in innovative and creative marketing within the BMW UK network.

The coveted award was presented by Michelle Roberts, marketing director of BMW Group UK, with TV comedian John Bishop at a ceremony at The Tate Britain in London.

The team of six, led by Chris Woods, head of marketing, impressed the judges with their outstanding marketing innovations, including their collaboration with Manchester Art Fair, where they launched their Recharge in Nature project with the Peak District National Park. Williams also hosted a “Find Your BMW Electric” event at RHS Garden Bridgewater showcasing the best of the BMW all-electric range.

Chris Woods, thrilled about the back-to-back win, stated: "Winning this award once was  incredible, but to be recognised for two consecutive years is a real achievement for the team. It's a genuine testament to their unwavering passion, dedication, and commitment to pushing creative boundaries. We strive to stay ahead of the curve in this competitive  landscape, and this recognition reaffirms our efforts."

Guy Adams, managing director of Williams, echoed the sentiment: "This prestigious award is a proud moment for the entire Williams team. It reflects the talent and dedication of our marketing team, who consistently deliver innovative and impactful campaigns. Being recognised as the best in the country for two years running is a remarkable achievement, and one that is truly deserved.”
